Parfitt Celebrates 11th Anniversary with $11,000 Donation to A Fund For Women
Parfitt Facial Plastic Surgery Center and AestheticA Skin Health Center, Middleton, has contributed $11, 000 to A Fund For Women to celebrate their eleventh anniversary of business in the Greater Madison area.
Dr. Richard Parfitt, facial plastic surgeon and business owner, made a $10,000 donation last year to kick off the tenth anniversary of Parfitt Facial Plastic Surgery Center and pledged to provide funding through the fifteenth anniversary, for a total of $60,000 over five years.
Dr. Parfitt, who made the announcement at a Kentucky Derby “Run for the Roses” themed event, said the anniversary celebration gift was selected based on A Fund for Women’s support of women and children locally and to also honor his female staff members and clientele. His wife Peggy Parfitt, general manager of Parfitt Facial Plastic Surgery Center and AestheticA Skin Health Center in both Madison and the Fox Valley is on the board of directors of A Fund for Women, serving as co-chair of grantmaking.
In announcing the gift at A Fund for Women event to recognize and thank individual and corporate donors, Dr. Parfitt urged other businesses to consider celebrating anniversaries and their female staff by contributing to the local fund.
A Fund for Women provides grant money to support non-profit organizations with programs that improve educational and employment opportunities for women and girls, and enhance their ability to lead self-sufficient lives. The fund was formed in 1993 when a visionary group of original donors raised $100,000 to create the endowment. Since then, AFFW has given a half million dollars in grants benefiting the community and the endowment is more than $1 million.
